Heard about Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southwestern Indiana? We couldn’t spread the word without the help from our Marketing Coordinator, Amanda Redenbaugh. Originally from Wisconsin, Amanda moved to Newburgh in 2000 and is a graduate of University of Southern Indiana. She is incredibly passionate about the people in Southwestern Indiana, and when the opportunity presented itself to join the team at Big Brothers and Big Sisters, she knew that this job would give her a chance to make a difference in her own backyard.
“Kids are our future, and when they have mentors, they are more confident. I think it is important to have someone to look up to and encourage you. Kids are full of energy and so fun to be around.”
Compassionate, creative and reliable, Amanda joined the team in 2019. Growing up she wanted to be an art teacher. She’s proud of the fact that this role allows her to be creative and work with kids in the community.
“I love seeing posts on social media about all of the great experiences members have with their Littles. I am excited to have a job I am passionate about; this is truly a dream job for me.”
When she’s not working with Big Brothers and Big Sisters she loves to hang out with her husband and their two doggies. She’s incredibly close with her family and loves being entertained by her nieces and nephews.
There are many events coming up, want to be in the know? Email Amanda with questions or learn ways to get involved.
