Meet the Board: Danny Schembre

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Indiana is excited to announce our newest Board member, Danny Schembre.

Danny was born in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from the University of Southern Indiana where he majored in Graphic Design. Danny works at Liberty Federal Credit Union in his role of Business Development and Community Relations for the last two years. Danny is described as creative, ambitious, and charismatic.

As the newest member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Danny is excited to serve the organization and community, saying “making a meaningful impact utilizing my skillset and connections.” He then added that he chose Big Brothers Big Sisters because “his company's involvement with some of the BBBS events, it became clear their mission and passion aligned with my values as a person and a professional.”

In his free time, Danny enjoys listening to music, recreation outdoors, and fantasy universes whether they’re fames, locus’s, books, or otherwise. You might have caught a few of Danny’s music renditions during Bowl for Kids' Sake 2024 where he rewrote popular titles of songs for fundraising, personally raising more than $2,000. Danny believes that kids are important because “they are the future of our cultures, our passions, and out world”

Danny’s favorite quote is “The only one stopping you ... is you.” This is reflective of both Danny in his personal and professional life. Danny is excited about being able to use his skill set and energy at Big Brothers Big Sisters and excited to see the future Big Brothers Big Sisters has under Ryan’s leadership and the vision that he has.

Please join us in welcoming Danny to our Board of Directors.
