She was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana and attended the University of Southern Indiana where she maintained a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts - Political Science and Criminology.

As the newest member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Crystal is excited to serve the organization and her community, saying “I have been a mentor for many years, and I am looking forward to working with like-minded individuals that share this passion.”

In her free-time, Crystal enjoys boating, participating in outside activities, and going on adventures with friends, family and mentees. She is also an active member of Cops Connecting with Kids the last 8 years and has bonded with several of the ladies that she has chaperoned. Crystal also mentors' youth at Bosse High School, the Children’s Psychiatric Hospital, and her niece Tabatha, who she has helped raise from a young age.

Crystal’s favorite quote is “Be true to yourself and never forget where you came from.” That is reflective of Crystal’s servant leadership within her community as an EPD officer and inspiring to the youth she works with daily and her role with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
